I took a morning a few weeks ago to help my wife take some photos of the Werribee Farm that is being developed by migrants from Myanmar. Gardens are rather fun and easy to photograph, lots of color and contrast. I also got to use my father’s old minolta super zoom lenses on my canon 7d, so a bit of a technical buzz.

The Werribee farm is considered an outstanding example of community development and connecting new migrants in Australia with generative / life sustaining activity. I learned that they travel quite a long distance to work on the farm (Braybrook to Werribee) expressing some commitment. I think the secrets to success of the program will eventually come out, hopefully from those that have put in the real strategic effort.
I had a lovely time meeting people and really enjoyed the amazing Myanmar-style food too.
Try Instagram for photos. It is so much more fun and instantaneous. These are great images from the garden. It has been a warm May and zucchini are still flowering and producing.
thanks mate
